“Running is ugly” is all about the messy, unfiltered side of the sport; the sweat dripping, the heavy breathing, the moments where you’re questioning all your life choices. . . It’s about showing up even when your legs feel like bricks and your face looks like you just fought a battle with the wind. . It’s the grind, the side stitches, the weird noises you make trying to catch your breath, but somehow, you keep going. It humbles you, strips away any ego, and forces you to push past your limits, even when you look like a hot mess. And in all that ugliness, there’s something kind of beautiful because it’s real, it’s raw, and it’s proof that you’re doing the damn thing. . .
